Snider Undergraduate Research Engagement

SURE%202_edited.jpg

My experience creating the Snider Undergraduate Research Engagement led me to discover my passion for educational program development and eventually led me to my career in instructional design. As a senior undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, I held an internship for the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets where I was tasked with engaging undergraduate students. To do this I built an undergraduate research program from the ground up where students could work on projects of their choice with faculty members. The culmination of the program included an academic publication and presentation. I led all aspects of the pilot program including marketing, interviewing and selecting students, overseeing research projects, holding research workshops, and planning the final presentations.

This program is now in its 6th year and continues to grow in size and opportunity for students. See the link above for the current webpage for the program.
