Digital badge programs are a new way to evaluate, certify, and publicize when learners have met certain skill sets. The goal for this project was to use applications to transform a learning experience. I used the badge program, Accredible, to develop badges for a professional development program teaching learners how to begin a job search. I then developed a website on Wix listing the series of steps learners must follow to earn the badges. The badges can be share on social media sites to increase networking opportunities. This transformation is a great fit for the content because the assignments can be used in the real world to begin the job search. See the write-up below for the research behind the course design.
